NullPointerException in Xalan Transformer (TransformerImpl.createSerializationHandler)

It been quite sometime since I wrote my last blog entry. It's not that I had nothing to share, but I didn't really find time to write them nicely for posting them. So, here is the latest issue that I have investigated and fixed.

This is again something related with XSLT and Java. A XSLT wrote with a prefix used in it, and doesn't have the prefix bound created the NULL Pointer Exception when attempted to use it to transform a XML using Xalan.

java.lang.NullPointerException

I'm taking time to post this small entry in my blog so that people facing similar issue can check whether they made the same mistake. Bye for now.
